Meet The Team

Happy pets. Happy clients.

Both our older dog and new puppy love going to daycare! They are well received, the staff is beyond sweet and our dogs run go go in. That says so much! It’s not for everyone but Chateau for us has been a saving grace! Praline is 6 months old now and well exercised, socialized, as well as she gets 6 walks a day while there. It has allowed me to work a few day shifts a week without worry as they have 24/7 camera access.

I’ve been using Chateau Poochie for many years and I can’t say enough great things about it. With the new addition of Ellen Gray as a kind trainer who gives my highly anxious Aussie calming massage and training it’s been wonderful, Ellen has been patient and understanding I highly recommend her.

My Bentley loves his friends at Chateau Poochie! I appreciate all of the fun activities they have for the pups. Bentley always has so much and even celebrated his 1st birthday there! I trust the staff completely and wouldn’t take my pup anywhere else!

Tami S

Beautiful facility and friendly staff! Thank you for taking such good care of my pup!

Kristin Renee

We require Rabies, Bordetella, Parvo/Distemper, Influenza and a current fecal.

Yes! We do offer private walks and have private rooms available for our guests who prefer only human interaction.

Our playgroups are separated by size and temperament.

No, once your pet has passed the meet and greet with the group you can come in at any time without a reservation! However, you are more than welcome to request a reservation in your online portal or by contacting us directly.

We do not currently have someone overnight. The last person leaves around 9-10 PM and they are back at 6 AM the next day.

Certainly! You’re welcome to bring up to three personal items for your pup. We want your furry friend to feel comfortable during their stay! Just make sure they’re items that can easily fit in a washing machine in case of any accidents. We recommend that you refrain from bringing in any cherished or highly valuable items during their stay. While we do our best to care for all items brought from home, accidents can happen. To avoid any potential disappointment or loss, it’s best to leave such items at home.

They must be at least 12 weeks old, up to date on vaccines for their age and in their home for a month before coming in.

Our evaluation is a slow introduction to our playgroup. The new pup is brought to our yard, and we bring out our older, more docile pups one by one to gauge the reaction. This is designed to be a slow, calm introduction to the group setting.

Yes, we do administer oral medication. We do not take any insulin dependent dogs or administer any injectable medications.

All boarding guests receive 6 walks a day and a private play time of 20 minutes!

Yes, please bring your food pre-portioned for each meal during their stay. This is to help the staff as well as make sure you have enough food. Please bring an extra meal or two in case of travel delays. We also have bags of food for sale, and we offer cooked meals as well. Wet, raw, or cooked food doesn’t need to be pre-portioned.

Yes! Our goal is to ensure your cat feels as comfortable with us as they feel at home and it can help to bring familiar items for them to have during their boarding stay.

Cats will have time out in our cat room to play on the cat equipment and stretch their paws. They will also have private play times with a handler as well.

General Manager

I have worked at The Island Pawplex since it opened in 2020. I was born and raised in Charleston. I have two dogs (Clover and Daisy), and two cats (Aster and Empress). I love animals of all shapes and sizes. I have worked with dogs for seven years and have loved every minute of it! In our free time, you can find us at dog-friendly events around Charleston. I am also certified in pet CPR and first aid.

Hello, I’m Cullen! I was raised locally in Summerville and Clemson is my alma mater. Working with your dogs is a passion of mine and I’ve been with the Island Pawplex for two years. At home I have two dogs and two cats, so I’m ready for anything!

I was born in Colombia, South America, and raised in Charlotte, NC and I moved to Charleston, SC in 2018. I have been working with animals for 6 years, I have done it all from vet tech to agility work! I have 6 dogs, 2 cats, an Iguana, and a Ball Python. In my free time, I like to take all 6 of my dogs hiking, swimming, and other adventures!

Hi, I’m Faith! I was born and raised in the Charleston area. I have a 3-year-old Chocolate Lab named Coco and a 7-year-old Chihuahua named Buddy. I love all animals, but I have always wanted to work with dogs and cats! In my free time, I love baking, painting, reading, and spending time with family/friends but I mostly love spending time with Coco!

I was born and raised in Moncks Corner, SC! I have worked with dogs for four years; I realized early on that working with dogs is my passion!  I have two dogs (Daisy and Minnie) and one human child! In my free time, I enjoy taking my daughter to trampoline parks!

I’m originally from Texas, I moved to the Charleston area when I was 13. I currently have a chunky kitty named Wendy! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my kids!

Kerri is a lifelong dog lover and can’t imagine life without them! Her current “pack” consists of an old hound dog named Ward and a little black cat named Killakee, along with her son Roland. Together they all equally enjoy long walks in the neighborhood or a chill day at home playing video games. Kerri originates from our Coleman location in Mount Pleasant, where she has worked since 2013, and she has known many My Three Dogs regulars since they were puppies!
